Hamilton knocks off Columbia Falls
COLUMBIA FALLS — Carson Rostad tossed four touchdown passes to Camron Rothie as Hamilton topped Columbia Falls 35-24 on Friday night in a rematch of last year’s Class A championship football game at Satterwaite Field.
Rothie’s touchdown receptions covered 14, 18, 17 and 31 yards. He had six receptions for 83 yards.
Rostad was 16 of 28 passing for 228 yards.
Hamilton (2-0) had 456 yards of total offense to 388 for Columbia Falls (0-1).
Columbia Falls quarterback Drew Morgan was 15 of 21 passing for 181 yards and three touchdowns.
Colton McPhee rushed 18 times for 105 yards to pace the Columbia Falls ground game. He also had three catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns — 53 and 38 yards.
Morgan also had a 4-yard touchdown pass to Lane Sapa and Auguste Emond booted a 15-yard field goal.
Columbia Falls hosts Dillon on Friday. Those two teams met in 2016 for the state championship in Columbia Falls with the Wildcats losing that one, 34-17.

EUREKA — Hank Dunn passed for three touchdowns, ran for one and returned a fumble for another to power Eureka’s offense in a victory over Conrad in Class B play.
Eureka (2-0) had 345 yards total offense to 149 for Conrad.
Eureka’s Terell Helgert rushed for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass. He had 96 yards rushing on nine attempts and caught two passes for 63 yards.
Dunn was 8 of 15 passing for 130 yards. He added 65 yards rushing on 11 attempts.

ANACONDA — Bigfork did all of its scoring in the first half to improve to 2-0 on the Class B season.
Randy Stultz had a pair of 7-yard touchdown runs and caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Anders Epperly.
Epperly also passed to Colton Reichenbach 18 yards for a score and added a 4-yard touchdown run.
Bigfork had 230 yards (96 passing and 134 rushing) of total offense to 23 for Anaconda.
Stultz had eight carries for 50 yards. Epperly was 4 of 4 passing for 96 yards.
Bigfork hosts Florence on Friday.
