A two-vehicle head-on collision in Kalispell Sunday night left both drivers badly injured, according to Kalispell Police.

A woman driving a Ford F350 northbound on the U.S. 93 bypass reportedly crossed the center lane of U.S. 93 Alternate near 4 Mile Drive, according to Capt. Brett Corbett with the Kalispell Police Department. The woman reportedly crashed into another Ford F350 driven by a man headed south at 9:40 p.m.

Both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles. Corbett said responders used the Jaws of Life to extricate one driver from the vehicle. Both drivers were immediately transported to the hospital and both are expected to survive their injuries, Corbett said. No one else was involved in the accident.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but Corbett said the roads were not icy at the time it occurred.
