Glenna Jean Fredenberg, 73

Glenna Jean Fredenberg, 73, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

Glenna was born on August 14, 1945 in Lucille, Idaho, to William Hinkley and Phyllis Clark.

Glenna met her husband, Orin, in Trout Creek 38 years ago while Glenna was working and Orin was playing music. And the eruption of Mt. Saint Helen’s ensured they spent quality time together. They were married on August 31, 1980. The two of them had many common passions but music was a favorite. Glenna served as Secretary of the Fiddler’s Association while Orin was President.

Glenna worked in Nursing for many years and also spent many summers working in the coffee shop at Lake McDonald. She helped care for her two brothers-in-law for many years and a sister-in-law.

Throughout her life, Glenna loved to recall the time she spent growing up in the Slickpoo Orphanage on the Nez Pierce Indian reservation in Idaho. During her time there, she was the first to survive Polio in Lewiston, Idaho. Her hobbies included gardening, listening to music, reading and spending time with family.

Glenna was preceded in death by and husband, Orin, her parents, brothers.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Blewett, Bert Gray, and step-children; Jerry, Jeff; Ardith, Kelly, Shaunna, Tami; sister, Della; grandchildren, Christina, Matthew, Leah and many more; along with numerous great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
