Elderly woman takes on alleged dopers
An elderly woman in Hungry Horse, who had reached her limits, wanted a “civil standby to kick out all the dopers” from her house including her son. She was advised that her son, and all his friends who had been living there, would need to be legally evicted before Flathead County Sheriff’s Office could assist in removing the alleged dope fiends.
A bail bonds company employee calling from Bear Trail in Whitefish requested deputies be on possible standby to help them catch a suspect. The department declined as per standing policy “against that type of thing.”
A First Avenue resident in Martin City was frazzled by two boys and a girl reportedly beating on his door. The door, which wasn’t damaged, had reportedly sustained several beatings at the hands of about five children. Officers spoke to the children who were warned what could happen if their behavior continued.
Someone loved a car rental so much they allegedly stole it.
Someone in Bigfork called officers to report that people across from the Crater Lake Trailhead were shooting guns despite signs posted “no shooting.” Their vehicles were parked on Jewel Basin Road. A message was left for the Forest Service.

A man was heard by many screaming at a woman in an apartment before she left on foot. Police found broken glass from a fire extinguisher and holes in a in a closet door.
Noise coming from an hours-long party on Quarter Horse Lane grated on the nerves of neighbors who called it in. When police arrived, some of the kids fled the scene and hid near a man’s house. When officers left, the music was turned up and kids returned. In all the shenanigans, a window may have been shattered.
