Cowboy Country and the Gold Dust Girls bring boot-stompin' mix to Eagles Club

| February 7, 2018 5:01 PM

The Cowboy Country and the Gold Dust Girls band will bring their mix of classic country, vintage rock and roll, and boot-stomping blue grass music to the stage from 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Kalispell Eagles Club.

The eight-member band includes Karla West (vocals, keyboard), John Goodrich (bass, tenor sax), Scott Sorenson (vocals, lead guitar), Connie Rudie (vocals, fiddle), Paul Sebesta (fiddle), Bill Rossiter (vocals, guitar, harmonica, and banjo), Chuck Martin (drums), and Sandy Matheny (vocals, rhythm guitar).

“We bring our love of making music together for an entertaining evening of dancing and listening fun for all of us,” said lead vocalist Sandy Matheny.

Each band member has been playing at venues around the Flathead Valley, across the state and around the country for many years. The musicians’ widespread backgrounds of folk, jazz, Dixieland, rock and roll and country music provide a natural springboard for their extensive repertoire and eclectic mix of crowd-pleasing tunes.

Dancers can look forward to a variety of tempos and styles including waltzes, two-steps and one-steps, polkas, fox trots, swing and Latin rhythms. Cowboy Country also has a loyal group of listeners who attend all performances, and their enthusiasm is as welcome as the enjoyment of the dancers.

So saddle up and turn your boots toward the Kalispell Eagles Club for a night of fine dancing and music. For more information, contact the Eagles at 752-7265 or stop by 37 First Street in Kalispell.
