Dennis M. Grillo, 65

| February 7, 2018 6:54 PM

Dennis M. Grillo, 65, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, Massachusetts.

Dennis was born in 1952, in Milford, the son of the late Luigi “Gene” Grillo and Elvira (Antolini) Grillo.

Dennis moved to Kalispell in 1971 and remained in the Flathead Valley until 1987.

Be it known: That Dennis spent the happiest years of his life here. Those incredible weekend adventures with Sue, Roberta, Jerry, Gary, Rick, Nola, Lyle, Marty, Jim, Skinny, Felix, Bob, Tom, Rob, Gene, Heine and so many more of the gang, be it on snow-cats up at Canyon Creek, floating the Middle Fork, hiking Aeneas backcountry, steaming lobsters on the Fourth of July, or waterskiing behind the Jolly Roger, Dennis was game for it all. And his beloved dog Jason in tow.

That Dennis’s dream of striking it rich up in Silver Basin on Baptiste Mountain was a dream lived, not a dream lost. That Dennis lived all of his dreams. That Dennis had a good life. That he believed in God. That his peaks were magnificent and that his valleys were brutal. That he has a beautiful daughter named Ashley, living somewhere out in Colorado. That he loved his family and friends dearly.

That he was Donald’s twin brother and neither was ever alone in this life, no matter what state they were in or continent they were on.

That he wasn’t planning on dying and it just happened. That he is at peace now, where sorrow cannot follow.

A big thank you to all who knew Dennis and called him their friend.
