Class AA Basketball Schrade leads Pack on Senior Night

Glacier opened a 19-point lead by halftime and coasted comfortably to a 55-38 victory over Missoula Hellgate in a Western AA conference girls basketball matchup on Saturday afternoon at Glacier High School.
Anna Schrade, one of four seniors honored during pregame Senior Night festivities, scored 13 to lead a balanced Glacier offense, which featured 11 scorers.
The Wolfpack led 15-6 after the first quarter and 35-16 by halftime.
Glacier travels to Missoula Sentinel at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday before hosting Flathead for crosstown at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Mary Heaton poured in a game-high 17 points, but Flathead couldn’t overcome a disastrous second quarter in a Western AA loss to visiting Missoula Big Sky.
The Eagles outscored the Bravettes 13-1 in the second period, more than enough to offset the 34-29 advantage Flathead earned in the first, third and fourth quarters combined.
Taylor Henley chipped in 13 points for the Bravettes, who split the season series with Big Sky after winning the road matchup with the Eagles 46-44 in late January.
Flathead returns to action Thursday, when it travels north to face crosstown rival Glacier at 6 p.m.

MISSOULA — Missoula Hellgate exploded offensively, and Glacier struggled to keep pace in a lopsided Western AA defeat.
Led by 30 points from Rollie Worster, who entered the night third in Class AA in scoring average, the Knights scored 20 or more points in all four quarters.
Kody Jarvis paced nine Glacier scorers with 15 points.
The Wolfpack was outscored 43-22 in the second half.
Glacier hosts Missoula Sentinel on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. before welcoming Flathead for crosstown at 8 p.m. Thursday.

MISSOULA — A big third quarter gave Flathead a Western AA win over Missoula Big Sky.
Tied 25-all at halftime, the Braves outscored the Eagles 25-7 in the third quarter to pull away.
Tyler Johnson tallied 23 points to lead Flathead. Eric Seaman and Sam Elliott added 17 and 12 for the Braves, respectively.
Flathead faces a crosstown test at Glacier at 8 p.m. Thursday.
