Northwest A Conference Tourney Browning girls trip C-Falls

RONAN — Browning upset No. 1 seed Columbia Falls in the Northwest A conference girls championship basketball game Friday night at the Ronan Events Center 61-50.

Browning was the No. 2 seed.

Browning outscored Columbia Falls 15-6 down the stretch to stay on top. Browing held a slim 46-44 lead heading into the final eight minutes of play.

Ronnal Jordan dropped in 16 points for Browning.

Columbia Falls was led by Dani Douglas, Hannah Gedlaman and Trista Cowan, all with 12 each.

Consolation Final

RONAN — Shannon Reny scored 10 of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter as Libby upended Ronan.

Libby held an 11-0 edge after the first quarter, took a 16-10 lead to the locker room at the half and was on top 25-18 heading into the final eight minutes of play.

Micalann McCrea topped Ronan in scoring with 12 points.

RONAN — Robin Erickson tallied 15 points while Trevor Schultz and Connor Lanier added 11 each to help Polson spill Ronan.

Ezekiel Misa led Ronan, and all scorers, with 24 points.

Polson held a 27-24 lead at the half.

The two teams matched points in the other two quarters.

Brandon Aimsback led the way for Browning with 18 points. Nano Stiffarm collected 16.

Ryggs Johnston tallied 20 points for Libby.
