A woman was able to walk away from a rollover crash on Monday evening thanks to the efforts of a few passers-by and emergency responders.

The woman rolled her vehicle on U.S. 93 north of Kalispell near the Flathead County landfill and came to a stop in the deep snow off the shoulder of the northbound lane. Emergency crews were dispatched at 4:56 p.m.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was ejected from the vehicle and pinned beneath the right rear axle.

Several passers-by stopped and used a spare tire to keep the vehicle from rolling over.

When Montana Highway Patrol and Flathead County Sheriff deputies arrived they were all able to lift the vehicle on its side enough to remove the woman safely.

She suffered only minor injuries, but was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for further evaluation, the Sheriff’s Office noted.
