Furry shopkeeper holds down fort

| January 7, 2018 6:15 PM

Someone called the Whitefish Police Department because they went inside a business they thought was open and an alarm went off. No one was inside except for a very friendly dog. An officer turned up and found out the latch was broken.

A Golden Retriever was found, and the reporting party wanted to drop it off at the station. Later, its owner reconnected with the dog, whose name was “Bronco.”

An individual allegedly backed into someone else’s vehicle in the parking lot of the Moose Lodge and then drove off.

A man who was reportedly intoxicated was ordered off the premises of a business twice and had come back again. Someone called dispatch for help with the third removal.

A man told dispatch he had been assaulted. The caller stated that when he approached two deputies about the issue they reportedly just didn’t care. The caller wanted to speak to a manager about the alleged apathy of his officers. When police investigated the alleged assault, they found the report to be unfounded.
