Montana contractors are converging on Kalispell later this week for the 2018 Montana Contractors’ Association annual convention.

The events are taking place Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 10 and 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn. They will have keynote speakers and breakout sections where participants can learn more about workforce development and gather information about the latest innovations and developments in the field, according to a press release from the organization.

Rep. Frank Garner, R-Kalispell, and Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction Elsie Arntzen are scheduled to make appearances. Arntzen will take a tour of a home under construction by Flathead High School students as part of a program dedicated to informing children about job opportunities in the construction field.

Breakout sessions will give convention participants an opportunity to learn about wide-ranging niche subjects such as drones in construction, changes in stormwater pollution prevention plan regulations and planned corporate giving.
