Cats, not prowler, cause guard dogs to bark
According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department, a resident was afraid a prowler was causing their dogs to bark. Upon further investigation, the resident discovered it was a couple of cats that caused the commotion.
A woman said her son’s Nintendo was stolen and she had a suspect.
A chicken was reportedly drawing a crowd in a parking lot, and a caller was worried it would get run over. The hen was taken in for safekeeping.
Someone reportedly stole a pink slip for a package out of a mail box and picked up the package at the post office.
A woman who reported a dog being left outside identified herself as a “nosy neighbor.”
A wallet was missing from a locker at a Columbia Falls resort.
According to the Whitefish Police Department, a caller said a drunk man with a child in the vehicle ran into a teepee.
According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, someone was worried about a beagle being left outside with no shelter, food or water. Police reportedly gave the dog a blanket and kennel and requested the owners make contact with the department.
Two men were reportedly acting suspicious in a bank. One reportedly walked in, stood there and walked out. Then another man came in and grabbed a calendar and left.
A pet owner said they let their dog out and it took off.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, a Libby woman said she got a call about a credit card that didn’t exist. When she asked for details about the credit card company, the caller hung up on her.
Someone broke into a house and stole two or three rifles.
A vehicle was reportedly on fire in a school parking lot and the people around it were attempting to put out the fire with snow.
A man reported a theft in progress involving toiletries and cleaning supplies. He said he threw his roommates out and they were taking items that didn’t belong to them.
A new pet dog slipped out of its collar and took off. The owner said it was running around the area but they couldn’t retrieve it.
