Bigfork girls rip St. Ignatius

BIGFORK — Bigfork (10-1 overall) outscored St. Ignatius 34-4 in the second quarter to blow it open for a 69-20 Class B nonconference girls basketball victory on Friday evening.

Heidi Schneller, who led the Valkyries in scoring with 15 points, netted nine points in the explosive quarter. Bigfork had six 3s in the eight-minute span.

Jaime Berg added 13 points for the victors and Rakiah Grende chipped in 12.

Allie Coldwell carried the load for Troy offensively with a 26-point outing. Aurora Becquart dropped in 13.

Lindsay Laws and Jessica Thompson had 19 points each for Plains.
