T-Falls grapplers rule Ted Kato Invitational

THOMPSON FALLS — Flathead’s Joseph Battello (152 pounds) and Glacier’s Ashton Thompson (285) were individual winners on Saturday at the Ted Kato Invitational wrestling tournament.

Battello decisioned Alex Veira of Thompson Falls in the final, 7-6.

Thompson pinned teammate Larrison Stevens in the finals in 1 minute, 7 seconds.

Also placing second was Flathead’s Cody Moats (120).

Thompson Falls had five individual winners — Roman Sparks (103), Garrett Jones (113), Kaleb Frank (120), Jase Sorenson (170) and Austin Cooper (205) — and easly captured the team title with a 184 score. Mission/Charlo was second, 125.
