Oh deer, call the police

| January 21, 2018 6:26 PM

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report an injured deer lying on a sidewalk.

A caller asked dispatch whether they kept tabs on people leaving the bars, because they allegedly knew someone that had driven home drunk multiple times.

Someone called and said a man from Missouri kept calling her and “asking about her funds.” She wanted to let police know.

One person called to complain that the neighbor that lived behind them had a dog and it barked all day long. It was even barking right at that moment, they said.

One woman called the Whitefish Police Department and said it wasn’t an emergency so she was put on hold and then hung up. They reconnected later, and she requested extra patrols around her home because she had discovered suspicious boot prints around her family’s vehicles and property.

An employee at a Whitefish bar reported a fight between two women. One of the women was given the boot, and was reportedly picking fights with other people right outside of the bar. She left before law enforcement arrived on scene, but was reportedly headed eastbound with blood on her face.

A structure fire was reported off U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls.

Multiple alleged hit and run crashes were reported on Cally Lane and Lore Lake Road in Kalispell and Talbot Road in Columbia Falls.
