Attempted break-in at Bigfork gun shop
Security alarms brought Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies to Bigfork Guns and Ammo where someone reportedly attempted to break in early Saturday morning.
The suspect is believed to have used either an ax or splitting maul to break the front window of the building located in downtown Bigfork but fled when the alarm system went off, according to owner Mike Krachun. Krachun reported no further damage and nothing stolen. He said the shop’s security cameras caught video evidence of the suspect and the footage is currently under review. Krachun announced that he is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect who broke his window. No arrests have yet been made.
A man called to give the sheriff’s office a “heads up” about potential drama that might ensue after he broke up with his allegedly cheating girlfriend. The man informed officers that he had planned a trip to Hawaii with the woman but was no longer going and wanted them to do an extra patrol of his house in case she decided to commit acts of vandalism in retaliation.
A man in black clothing with a black duffel bag reportedly attempted to break into a garage on Halfmoon Road. The reporting party believed the suspect followed her from the residence to a bar. Officers escorted the woman back to her home.

Whitefish Police reportedly cited three green trashcans on Greenwood drive for hanging out near the street too long.
Someone reportedly found a male black and white bulldog puppy on Baker Avenue.
A woman told Kalispell Police her neighbor was harassing her by habitually standing behind her as she unlocks her door and holding her child’s hand without her permission.
Someone reported a tire stolen.
A man called from Florida to report the person who was supposed to be caring for a house the man was attempting to sell in Kalispell for allowing unauthorized people to move into the house and refusing to leave.
A woman reportedly threatened to stab her family with a knife before fleeing the scene, according to Columbia Falls Police.
A woman reported hearing another woman screaming “for a full minute” near her home on Frontage Road.
A taxi company employee reported a woman for taking a taxi twice in two days without paying the fare.
A woman in a maroon Toyota reportedly crashed into a vehicle before fleeing the scene of the accident. The woman was reportedly last scene driving toward a liquor store.
