Kalispell looks to fill committee openings
The city of Kalispell is looking for residents to fill seats on various municipal committees and boards as a host of current terms are set to expire at the end of April. The city is also looking to fill an open seat on the Planning Board and Zoning Commission.
The openings have different requirements based on the group they reside with, and a full list, including application materials, can be found under the “Board and commissions” tabs on the city’s website at www.kalispell.com.
Applications for the Planning Board and Zoning Commission are due by Feb. 26, and applications for the other positions are due by April 5.
The following is a complete list of the governmental bodies with openings, along with any requirements for those filling a seat:
Board of Adjustment: Must be a resident of Kalispell
Business Improvement District, Downtown: Must own property within the downtown district
Conrad Mansion Board: Must be a resident or own property within Kalispell
Economic Revolving Loan Fund Committee: No residency requirement, but strong financial background preferred
Impact Fee Committee: Must be a property owner, resident or involved with a business in Kalispell
Parking Advisory Board: Must be electors of the city or own real property within the parking district
Planning Board: Must be a resident of Kalispell
Street/Tree Commission: Must be a resident within the City of Kalispell Growth Plan area
Technical Advisory Committee: Must be a city resident
Tourism Business Improvement District: Must represent a large property subject to the district
Urban Renewal Agency Board: Must be a resident or own property within city limits
