Boom goes baby's nap time

| July 4, 2018 2:00 AM

A woman called the Columbia Falls Police Department saying she couldn’t get her child to take a nap because some kids were setting off very large strings of fireworks.

A locksmith came to the rescue in Columbia Falls after a 3-year-old boy locked a 1-year-old boy inside a van.

A woman called to report her downstairs neighbor allegedly has cameras pointed at her apartment and had also thrown cigarette butts at her apartment.

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report that a woman had allegedly abused her children, who weren’t wearing any shoes. The person said she had video of the woman shaking the kids, smacking them and cursing at them. When an officer spoke with the alleged abuser, she said her daughter had thrown a toy at the car window and nearly broke it. She said she spanked the child, but hadn’t slapped or shook them. The officer said the kids appeared to be healthy and there were no apparent signs of abuse. Store employees asked that the kids not come back in unless they had shoes on. The woman said she’d put the kids back in the car and finish her business.
