Accident blocks traffic on Glacier Park's Sun Road

Vehicle traffic attempting to enter Glacier National Park at the West Entrance was turned around for a few hours Thursday afternoon due to a vehicle accident on Going-to-the-Sun Road near Triple Arches.

The accident caused gridlock conditions farther up the road. All traffic on the eastern half of the road was being turned around at Logan Pass.

The West Entrance was reopened to vehicle traffic by 2:30 p.m. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the scene.
