ImagineIF hosts art exhibit celebrating local wildlife

| July 5, 2018 2:00 AM

ImagineIF Libraries invites visitors to explore the vibrant and detailed work of local artist Adam Grensten in his “Fins and Fur” exhibit on display at ImagineIF Kalispell through July. In this collection, featuring several distinctive series completed over the last five years, Grensten illustrates his profound love of Montana fish and wildlife. His many styles result from trying to express human emotions through animals.

Grensten grew up in Lewistown where he developed a deep love for nature and its wild inhabitants. From a young age, Grensten expressed this fascination through art and photography. After high school, he spent four summers working in Glacier National Park. During this time, he focused on photography, which helped develop his understanding of light and shadow.

After studying architecture and photography for four years at Montana State University, he devoted his time to art. With a blossoming career in Montana and Seattle, he aims to incorporate influences from both places in his work. Currently, he resides in Whitefish, Montana, where he has enrolled in the electronics technologies program at Flathead Valley Community College.

Grensten’s unique style showcases Montana wildlife with character and precision. Come see it at ImagineIF Kalispell located at 44 2nd Ave. W.
