Glen August Peter, 56

| July 11, 2018 2:00 AM

Glen August Peter “was called home to be with our Lord” on April 27, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Dec. 18, 1961.

Glen always called Trego home no matter where he lived, and there will be a celebration of life potluck for him from 3 to 8 p.m. July 14 at the Trego Civic Center.

Glen did many things and traveled many places, was a jack-of-all- trades, but loved farming and ranching the best. It always seemed to bring him back to the eastside of Montana. He loved to fish and hunt and loved putting his boat out on the Pacific Ocean. He had a passion for animals of any kind, but mostly for dogs. He could rarely remember a person’s name, but always remembered their dog’s name. The animals that survived him have mourned him greatly. The last 26 years Glen was accompanied on his adventures by his wife Pearl. They traveled over 20,000 miles on his motorcycle enjoying and exploring life.

Glen is survived by his wife Pearl, his stepdaughter Trina Johnson, grandchildren Lydia Johnson, Lucian, Stanley and Liam Rymer, his older brother Ed Peter Jr., older sisters Charlotte Taylor and Barbara Ogren, little sister Marge Rademaker, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He will be missed by all, but his memory will live on in love, smiles and laughter.

In lieu of any flowers to the family, we would ask for donations to be made to the Desert Regional Cancer Center in Palm Springs, California, in Glen’s name, in hopes it will afford someone treatment who otherwise couldn’t afford it. These donations made it possible for Glen to have many tests when he needed them.
