Fists fly in dispute over dog

A caller to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office reported being punched in the face by a man during an argument over a dog.

A man who said he was having problems with his phone apologized for calling 911. He said the phone would only call 911.

An incident on Hungry Horse Boulevard reportedly ended up with a man pointing a gun at another man. According to the caller, he was riding his motorcycle home when the driver of a silver Audi, with Montana plates, cut him off. Both vehicles then parked at a business and the motocyclist said he called the driver of the Audi a bad word. The Audi driver then pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the cyclist before leaving.

A man called the Kalispell Police Department to report his daughter was driving drunk. He said he had spoken to officers the day before about a protection from abuse order in regards to her.

Another caller reported catching her daughter smoking cigarettes.

A caller staying at an area motel said another male guest got into the swimming pool wearing a very skimpy suit. He wanted to know if there were any laws against that.

A caller reported hearing gun shots, but an officer determined that they were just fireworks.

A person called and wanted someone to wake her neighbor up because the sprinkler was broken and flooding the yard.

Someone came to the police department and reported seeing a black bear in the area.
