Pooches are prime suspects

A person called the Kalispell Police Department to report a tan pug and black and white beagle-pug dog that the neighbor allegedly lets run loose.

A woman called to report she had lost her wallet, possibly at one of the grocery stores. She wanted to report it in case it was turned in.

Someone reported an assault and that electrical cords had been cut throughout their house. The caller said she would come in and fill out a report later,

A woman reported being chased and threatened by a man because, according to her, she was associated with people who had stolen illegal drugs from him.

A caller reported someone entered an unlocked house and stole her and her mother’s purses.

A person called to report “crackheads” were shooting off fireworks.

A woman reported being stalked by her husband while they were going through a divorce. She said he was calling to report her missing so he could get her contact information. She is waiting on a restraining order and officers gave her advice on what to do.

A person called the Whitefish Police Department about kids locked in a black Suburban. When the person was asked if the kids were in distress, she said “You know what, I give up” and hung up.

An errant 911 call turned out to be a person cleaning a room who accidentally dialed the emergency button on their phone.

A person called to report a suspicious-looking person. The man was described as being in his early 20s and was wearing a white tank top, cutoff jean shorts with tattoos on his forehead, legs and arms. The caller said he wanted to talk about the American flag.

A caller reported a man came out of a bar, staggered down the street and left in a gray Toyota after the caller couldn’t get him to take a cab.
