Clarence G. Hartstrom, 66

Clarence G. Hartstrom, 66, passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana on July 7, 2018.

Clarence was born March 9, 1952, to parents Roy and Phyllis Hartstrom in Mohall, North Dakota.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Hartstrom, and brothers Fred and Hal. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and sister, Lynda.

Shortly after Clarence’s birth, the family moved to California. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Sacramento and Consumes River College.

Clarence worked in construction as a carpenter, building and remodeling homes. He also ran his own soffit business. In addition, Clarence enjoyed working on cars. His real passions were playing guitar and he also loved animals, especially horses and dogs.

Clarence returned to Montana five years ago and lived with Clayton Howard in Big Arm where he helped take care of animals on Clayton’s ranch.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. Joseph Medical Center as well Lisa Meyer and Clayton Howard for their friendship and kindness to Clarence.

No services will be held. Clarence was cremated and his ashes were spread over the meadow at Clayton’s ranch.
