Davisson HRs twice as Lakers A sweep Cranbrook A

CRANBROOK, British Columbia — Kalispell Lakers A slugger Payton Davisson went 4 for 7, homered twice, doubled and drove in 7 runs in an American Legion baseball doubleheader sweep of Cranbrook A on Tuesday evening.

The scores — 9-5 and 9-6.

The Lakers did all of their scoring in the first two innings — seven in the first and two in the second — of the opener.

Davisson, 2 for 4, homered and drove in four runs. Nate Kelly, 1 for 2, also homered and had three RBIs. Chad Queen added a double.

Jack Corriveau picked up the win. He pitched five innings, allowing three hits, walking five and striking out seven.

Davisson, 2 for 3, homered and drove in three runs in Game 2. He scored three times.

Thomas O’Connell doubled and also had three RBIs.

Luke Halland, 2 for 5, scored three times.

Reid Barrows, who went the first 4 2/3 innings, picked up the win.

The Lakers host the Glacier Twins for a single game on Friday at 7 p.m.
