Ronald Alan Peters, 69
Ronald Alan Peters passed away peacefully on June 2, 2018, with his life partner, Patricia Lawshe’, by his side.
Ronald Alan “Ron” Peters was born on June 27, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska. His childhood was spent on the family farm in Nebraska. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam with the Army Special Forces. He was an operator/engineer, heavy equipment operator, logger, and mechanic, to name a few — he was a jack of many trades.
Ron enjoyed rock ‘n’ roll and jazz music. He was a voracious reader (usually reading at least two books at a time). He enjoyed traveling with Patricia, riding his motorcycle, and had a particular love for his dogs. He worked hard, played hard, and loved with everything he had.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his son AJ, and grandsons Adler and Henry.
He is survived by his life partner of 23 years, Patricia Lawshe’; daughters, Penny Carters of Iowa, Kym Lawshe’ (Marvin Loftis), and Melanie Reidinger (Mike) of Kalispell, and Jodi Marsh (Alfred) of Helena; sons, Jon Peters (Courtney), Jed Lawshe’ (Kanisa), and Hawke Lawshe’ (Amanda) of Kalispell. He is also survived by his siblings, Chuck, Donna and Mary of Nebraska, along with 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He lived life on his terms and he will be deeply missed. We love you Captain and Papa.
