A person called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to complain about people on a boat playing hip-hop music too loud.

Two transient men were allegedly punching a dog while they were waiting for a bus. The men were described as scruffy with dreadlocks. When an officer spoke to one of the men, who was the dog’s owner, he said he was just putting his hand around the dog’s mouth to try to get it to be quiet. The dog didn’t appear to be injured and got up and walked with no troubles.

A man called to report being hit in the head by an unknown object from a passing vehicle. He thought it may have been a firework.

A caller reported that two men had knocked on the door and window.

A man in charge of a paving project on Montana 35 called to report a Dodge Challenger swearing and flipping him off. He also said the driver was slurring his speech.

A caller complained about a noisy tractor on Goose Lane.

A man called the Kalispell Police Department to report his mailbox was blown up. He believed it was a group of people who had just walked past his home. He heard an explosion after they had walked away.

A person called to report a possible assault with a man being rough with a woman. It turned out to be a married couple goofing around.

A man called to report someone damaging a “for sale” sign at the residence he was trying to sell. The man thinks he may have caught the vandal on a trail camera.

A new girlfriend had a man alarmed when his ex-wife would call and he wanted law enforcement to do something about it. He said they hadn’t been married for 10 years. An officer called the man’s former and left a message requesting she not call him.

A man believed that people who were staying in a neighboring motel were allowing dogs to use his yard to do “their business.” He showed his displeasure by dropping dog feces at the feet of one of the motel’s housekeepers. He allegedly said he would shoot any dogs that were on his property. An officer spoke to the motel manager and the disgruntled man and believed the issue was resolved.

A woman said the person across the hall was cooking meth and it was influencing her husband, which she wasn’t happy about.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a man using a women’s restroom.

A couple who had returned home from dinner reported a possible domestic situation involving a man and his kids. An officer determined the kids were playing on their bikes.
