One bad trip to the ER

A 24-year-old man called the Kalispell Police Department to report he was having a “bad trip” after ingesting some mushrooms. He said he was very anxious and also said there was a woman there that took them, too, but she was OK. An officer took the man to the emergency room.

A person called about two people who set off fireworks outside a building, waking another guest. That person chased the culprits away, but they went into another room and started setting off fireworks there.

A man who was arrested for driving under the influence the previous night called the police department in an attempt to find his driver’s license.

A caller reported being assaulted by a co-worker at an area business. He said his neck hurt, but said he didn’t need medical attention. An officer was going to try and speak to the victim to find out what happened.

A man was jailed for assault after a woman called to report her husband was allegedly attacked by him. She said he lived in a house near the “creepy” apartments.

A caller reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that a man was laying next to a bicycle in a parking lot. An officer determined that the man, who was drunk, rode his bike there and didn’t make it any further. He was taken home by the officer.

A man who lives on Two Mile Drive was checking the photos on his game camera that he had set up in his back yard and saw a naked man. He wasn’t sure if the man was a neighbor or a transient.

A caller reported two suspicious people lurking outside the daycare center before leaving on River Road in a white Isuzu. The man was described as having a small build and wearing sunglasses. A description of the woman that was with him wasn’t known.

Two hikers who became separated on the Demer’s Ridge Trail were later reunited.

A woman called to report that her son got gas in his eyes and the child could be heard screaming in the background. She wanted to know if she could wash it out herself or if she should take the boy to the hospital. She ended up taking him to the emergency room for treatment.

An 18-year-old woman reported being beat up and pushed out of a vehicle along the side of a road by a man. The officer gave the woman a ride to her home and told her if she needed any more help to call the office or 911.

A person with a student loan company called to report that a man said “I might as well find a gun and shoot myself” during their phone conversation. When an officer spoke with the man he said he was upset about his student loan, but that he wasn’t serious about what he said. He apologized for the incident and said it wouldn’t happen again.

Several tanned buffalo hides led to a dispute between two men and alleged death threats. The men had a business relationship together for 30 years and one of them had recently tanned 16 hides for the other at a cost of $18,500. The other man said the hides were not usable for what he requested and wanted his money back. One man said the other threatened his life, saying “I’ll off you” and then “I’ll do you.” The other man said his statement was “I’ll sue you.” Both men agreed to have no more contact and would let it be handled in civic court.

A man who runs a construction company called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report one of his flag men had to dive to avoid being hit by a gray Honda van.

A person called 911 to ask “what a police officer makes.” He was told it wasn’t appropriate to call 911 for that reason.
