FVCC hosts open house for business development center
Flathead Valley Community College will welcome Dan Gorton, the new director of the Kalispell Regional Small Business Development Center at an open house on March 21.
Located on the FVCC campus, the business development center provides technical assistance and free, confidential counseling to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs and works in conjunction with the college’s economic development initiatives.
As director, Gorton will assist startups and small business in Flathead, Lake and Lincoln counties with financing, business planning and marketing.
Gorton’s background includes over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and small business owner and over 20 years of experience as a director for a locally owned community bank.
“If you are looking to start a business or grow your current business, we recommend you tap into the SBDC services and Dan’s expertise,” said Chris Parson, director of FVCC’s Continuing Education Center.
The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 204 of the Arts and Technology Building on campus.
Gorton will share information about the business center and the intensive Profit Mastery course to be held at FVCC in April.
