Sen. Tester sitting on his haunches

I was so uplifted by President Trump’s State of the Union speech, and feeling like the America I was raised in is coming back again. It was such a positive speech. Then I witnessed the childish behavior of the Democrats’ side of the aisle. I was so disheartened by the way that our senator, Jon Tester, and the Democrats acted I decided to let him know publicly.

When President Trump announced our tax cuts, which are bringing jobs back and giving us more money in our pockets, I’m wondering why you wouldn’t stand for tax cuts for us? Especially for Montana farmers who lose their family farms to the death tax. Oh that’s right — not only did you not stand for us in Montana to help give us a tax break, you voted against the tax cut for us. You sat on your hands then, too.

Why wouldn’t you stand for “In God we Trust?” Really, Sen. Tester, you had a problem with that? What about standing for our flag, and the National Anthem? How about the lowest unemployment rate in 45 years, wage increases, no more MS13 gangs, and the stories of the boy who made sure that there were flags on every veteran’s grave? Even the young man from North Korea who lost his leg and walked 1,000 miles on homemade crutches was standing proud! You couldn’t get off your hind end to show your support. Really?

Mr. Tester you sat on your hands again recently, when you had a chance to vote for our babies in the womb for a bill on late-term abortion. Remember the baby feels pain at this stage as he is dismembered. America is only one of seven countries in the world that allows abortion this late. You voted against that bill.

Sen. Tester, it goes to the core of who you really are. I don’t know what you stand for, Senator, but I know what you sit for. Instead of being the Democrat of common sense and sanity in the Senate you sit and wait to watch if Nancy Palosi and Chuck Schumer are standing first, then you can get up. How sad that is.

No matter what you thought of our president’s speech you can be sure of this: He is a man who is a leader. He is a man who truly loves this country and wants to get it back to common sense and sanity. We may not always appreciate how he says things but at least we know how he stands, unlike you. Sen. Tester. who has been in the swamp for way too long. Please do Montana a favor, sit this next election out with your childish behaviors, and let a real leader who doesn’t dangle by the puppet strings attached to Chuck Schumer’s hand lead Montana.

The saddest thing for America is to have a senator who would rather see President Trump fail, than for America to succeed.
