Maridona Fisher Norick, 82

Maridona Fisher Norick passed away in Kalispell on March 17, 2018.

She was born to Harry and Gladys Fisher on June 19, 1935, in Kalispell. She was raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead County High School. Maridona attended Montana State University where she met her husband, Kenneth Norick, and they were married in 1955. Their life adventure brought them to Houston where she graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.

Maridona was a loving wife and mother of her two children. She was a passionate and dedicated teacher for 22 years. Ken and Maridona returned to Kalispell after their retirement where they lived a lively and happy life for 25 years. They enjoyed traveling worldwide and visited all 50 states. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and was passionate about toll painting.

She was an active member of the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and the Kalispell Historical Society where she worked to preserve Central School as the museum it is today. Maridona attended Risen Christ Catholic Parish and served as a lector. She was loved by many of its members and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Kathy, of Texas; and grandchildren, Karyn and Nicholas.

Her son, Jeff, preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, at Risen Christ Catholic Church. Friends are invited to attend a light lunch at the church after the service.
