Virginia Ann Seese, 65

| March 22, 2018 2:00 AM

“The Lord called” Virginia Ann Seese, 65, of Kila, home late Sunday, March 18, 2018.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother and sister in Christ. Virginia was born in Watertown, South Dakota, to parents Richard and Jessie Cordell. She was one of five children. They moved to Oregon where she lived until meeting the love of her life Timothy Seese.

They had a love that was powerful and married soon after in June of 1970. After his service in the Air Force they settled in the Skagit Valley in Washington state where they raised their family. Later, following their dream of retiring in the Big Sky state, they moved to Montana in 2002.

She leaves behind her adoring husband of nearly 48 years; her son Matthew Seese and fiancee Jessica Holmquist, his children Jonathan and Charles; daughter, Christina Horn and husband Chad, their children Charli, Gabriel and baby arriving in August; daughter, Vickie Seese and fiance Charles Brown and her children Madison and Devon; her brother Gene and wife Patty; her sister Pam and husband Rod; and her brother Robbi; and many nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly.

Virginia had a great sense of humor and often wore it proudly on her T-shirt. She loved a good practical joke. Just ask her brother, Gene! She loved being a grandmother and would spend hours laughing, reading and playing games with the littles. She enjoyed reading, puzzles of any kind, road trips to see family, solitaire, dominoes, and any kind of a board game that got the family together. She was fiercely competitive and loved to have fun.

Her celebration of life will be held at Cornerstone Community Church in Kalispell on Saturday, March 24. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. for those that would like to say goodbye. Funeral services will be from 2 to 3 p.m., with a burial service from 3 to 4 p.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Then family and friends are urged to come back to the church to swap stories and share a laugh. Virginia’s cackling laugh will be missed, but let’s celebrate an amazing lady and laugh ‘til we cry.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Cornerstone Community Church in her name.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
