Marjorie May Miciewicz, 88

Marjorie May Miciewicz, 88, “was welcomed into the presence of God, the Father,” on Jan. 12, 2018, surrounded by family, her granddaughter Meredith holding her hand.

Born May 11, 1929, in Kalispell to Fred and Marie Alton, Margie married Frank J. Miciewicz on June 17, 1951, in Creston. They were blessed with four children, Diane Brooks (Randy-deceased), David Miciewicz (Susan), Debra Royal (Chuck) and Daniel Miciewicz (Tammy).

Margie graduated from Flathead County High in 1947. She received her teaching degree at Northern Montana College in Havre. Her cousin Carlene Peters attended with her.

Margie worked at various jobs, her favorite being as the head housekeeper during the “Glory Days” of the Outlaw Inn — 1974 to 1994.

Margie was an active lifelong member of Bethelem Lutheran Church.

She loved spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, cooking, sewing, knitting and traveling.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce White (Jerry); her four children; grandchildren, Meredith Brooks, Alex Brooks (Helen), Zachary Royal, Caroline, Joseph, Trever, Clinton and Noah Miciewicz; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Zoë, Olivia, Chase, Persephine and Daven Miciewicz.

Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank, cherished son-in-law Randy, big brother John Alton and dear sister-in-law Donna.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. April 5 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. A picnic/potluck will follow the service at 610 First Ave. W.
