Abortion is modern form of pagan human sacrifice

Reading the pro-choice letters in the Inter Lake is disturbing to say the least. The attitude of superior and enlightened intellect from consciences seared by sin and darkened by the enemy of life grieves my soul deeply.

Let’s start with “pro-choice” — that equality mantra adopted by the new imaging of the old pagan gods. Let us be clear. Pro-choice means anti-life and pro-abortion. It represents, at its best, an indifference to a barbaric practice that shreds the body parts of tiny infants and sucks them out of their mother’s womb. We may have developed new, and what we think are improved, more efficient, hidden and sanitary means than the ancient practitioners of human sacrifice but they worship the same demons and result in the same death and destruction of human life.

Moving on to pro-life. Those with seared consciences rail against us with mocking insults and acccusations of imposition against their rights which ultimately result in self-worship even to the death of their own children and family members. Scripture has been fulfilled in our generation. We call what is evil “good” and what is good “evil.” But, one does not need to be religious to comprehend the depths of moral degradation. Science clearly reveals the humanity and rapid development of a newly conceived child ... heartbeat during five weeks of life ... brain development during week six ... fingers and toes, nails and nose ... by week nine basic physiology is in place and the critical phase of development is completed by week 10.

While mom is processing the paperwork and coughing up the cash, this dear little child is kicking its tiny limbs and perhaps even sucking her thumb unaware of the danger and hard-heartedness that seals the deal of her rapidly approaching demise. We push aside the facts of life, that the procreative act is and can be ... well very simply ... creative. And can bring forth the new life these actions and organs are designed or purposed for. Yet this comes as the biggest shock and puzzles our modern culture greatly. Clearly sex education is not education or about sex but a propaganda campaign for a false freedom and stolen innocence. As G.K. Chesterton so wisely stated, “Birth control is neither about birth nor control.”

Natural law and the laws of nature cannot be denied. Gravity may be denied, yet our bones still crush and break from a fall. The chicken begins as an egg and will become a chicken not something else. The newly conceived child, as nurtured and nourished in the womb, will daily progress into a fully formed human child and not some other species, animal or non-entity. A woman becomes a mother at the moment of conception and not on the day of birth.

Make no mistake! Abortion is a horrific practice that not only destroys those tiny infants but destroys the fabric of morality and society. We don’t allow careless or intentional destruction of our fellow citizens’ lives in other manners. The drunk driver getting behind the wheel ... we say NO. The gun-wielding mass murderer aiming their gun at co-workers or schoolchildren ... we say NO. But not so for abortion. The masses rally and cheer on those that lust for the blood of the pre-born. Moloch is still being sated. Enlightened! I and many others can clearly say NO!

Why do we persevere? Because we love deeply. We love and ache over the fate of the children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, abortionists and their support network. Yet we are called the haters and oppressors ... ironic is it not?
