Polson boys, girls collect Lake County track crowns

RONAN — Polson grabbed the team titles while individual honors went to Michael Durglo of St. Ignatius, who won three field events, at the Lake County track meet on Thursday.

The Polson boys totaled 178 points to finish well ahead of Ronan, 131,

Charlo, 127, was third.

The Polson girls edged Charlo for the team title, 160-155. St. Ignatius, 101, was third.

Durglo had the winning distances in the shot put (47-2), discus (129-1) and javelin (134-8).

Seven athletes — four boys and three girls — were double winners. They were: Trenton Adler of Polson in the 100 (11.54) and 200 (23.49); Wills Degrandpre of Charlo in the 1,600 (4:49.03) and 3,200 (10:37.97); Colton Cote of Polson in the 110 (15.67) and 300 (41.24) hurdles; Flint McPherson of St. Ignatius in the long (18-3 1/2) and triple (38-6 1/2) jump; Tyrah Hammond of Charlo in the 100 (13.3) and 400 (1:02.52); Bea Frissell of Polson in the 800 (2:25.92) and 1,600 (5:33.48); and Kyla Blixt of Polson in the shot put (30-4) and discus (90-11),
