Frenchtown nips Glacier in softball

FRENCHTOWN — Glacier came up a run short against Frenchtown on Saturday, losing the nonconference softball matchup 5-4.

Glacier (9-7 overall) outhit the Broncs 9-6, but the Wolfpack had five errors.

Meg Hornby, 2 for 4, had two doubles for Glacier.

Glacier is back in action Thursday versus Flathead at Kidsports Complex.

LIBBY — Khalyn Hageness pitched a pair of 1-hitters as Libby crushed Browning in Northwest A play.

Hageness faced 17 batters in the opener, fanning 10 and walking one

She had five strike outs in the second game and walked a batter while facing 11.

Both games were shortened by the run rule.

Libby’s Emily Carvey homered in the first game and drove in five runs.

Haylee Cannon had four RBIs in the second outing for the Loggers.
