Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a “shady” male walking through a Kalispell neighborhood. He was reportedly wearing a dark green blanket and checking things out.

A person called to report an ongoing issue with speeders repeatedly driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone in a Columbia Falls neighborhood during the early morning hours. The person asked for increased patrols.

A passerby called to report a large bull cow on the Farm to Market Road in Kalispell. When a deputy checked the area, it was nowhere to be found.

A man called to report being wrongfully fired from his job. His boss allegedly refused to give him his paycheck. A deputy told the man about a website for wrongful terminations.

Someone called to report a theft of power. A deputy spoke to a representative of th electric company, who explained that the intent of the modified meter was not to “steal” electricity; it was to keep the lights on in the house for a short period of time while the electrician found the correct part. The company didn’t want to press charges.

A person called to report two roommates involved in a fist fight at their residence. They were eventually separated.

Someone called to report having problems with cats and asked if she could trap them and take them to the shelter. She was informed that she could.

A person called to report a middle-aged, balding man driving erratically while hitting a woman and yanking her hair in the Columbia Falls area.

Someone called to report a person trespassing on her property who had jumped off the back roof and gone in an unknown direction. She also said someone broke in the day before and killed her dog.

A woman called to report that her 17-year-old son was out of control and punching her. She said he was possibly on drugs. He was not confrontational with law enforcement officers. The woman was not injured and refused medical treatment.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report an alleged assault in which a person hit her sister’s boyfriend in the back of the head and was running down Whitefish Stage Road.

A person called to report being scammed out of $1,022.
