A person called the Kalispell Police Department to report that a large bird or hawk had crashed through the window and was laying in the room. She believed it was injured. Police spoke with the bird lady rescue’s husband and he said he would call her.

A woman called to report that someone took her wallet and spare car keys while it was parked in the garage. She later reported that when she spoke to her credit card company, someone had attempted to make a $1,300 purchase.

A person called to report that a woman had stuck cat food in her pocket, but she did pay for it.

Someone called to ask for help in removing some individuals from a room. The officer was alerted that they are known drug offenders and one has carried a King Arthur type sword. Both were removed and the locks were changed to the room.

A person called to report transients living in the trash enclosure at an area business. They were asked to move along and the person said about half of them did. Extra patrol was requested for what was described as an ongoing problem.

Someone called to ask if they would be pulled over for a broken tail light.

A person called to report their vehicle was stolen. It turned out his daughter had the car.

A person called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that she and her husband were separated and he has remained in their residence with others and they are allegedly doing drugs. Meanwhile, she is living elsewhere. She wanted deputies to go into the residence and remove the people. She was told that deputies couldn’t do that without cause and that she could call the Northwest Montana Drug Task Force if she wished to report drug activity at the residence.

The ongoing saga of 911 hangup calls continued in the Valley as a child who wouldn’t let his mother have the phone. The dispatcher could hear an adult in the background asking “Who are you calling?”

A woman called to report that her husband had just assaulted her, slamming her head off the side of a car. Officers searched for him before returning to take the woman’s statement.

Someone called to report a bullet had been fired into the residence. The person initially believed a bird had flown into the window, but after checking, discovered a bullet in between the two panes of glass.

A person called to report a gray-haired man drving recklessly in a gray Cadillac Escalade. He was apparently speeding and cutting off other drivers.

A person called to report four horses were on the loose. Apparently it has been an ongoing problem and the equines keep trying to eat her rabbit food. The brand inspector will contact the person.

Someone called to report a possible drunk driver. The vehicle sat at a green light for several minutes while other vehicles drove around it. The vehicle was also seen swerving all over the road.

A person called to report she believes her ex-roommate may have taken her medical marijuana card and other items after her residence was broken into. When a deputy spoke to the suspect, she said she had no reason to be at the residence and hadn’t taken anything. The person who reported it decided not to pursue it after she learned the card had expired.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report that her son is being bullied by four other boys, which began at school. An officer spoke to the people who were involved and seem to be happy with the proposed solution.
