Kalispell man sentenced for shooting up home

A Kalispell man received a three-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to shooting into an occupied residence during an incident nearly a year ago.

According to court documents, Christopher David Barlow, 20, pleaded guilty to one felony count of criminal endangerment in February.

Barlow will be under the supervision of the state Adult Probation and Parole. He is not allowed to possess guns or ammunition and he must pay restitution of $2,032.72.

According to a court document, a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a trailer home in Evergreen for a report of several gun shots. The officer found that several shots from a .45-caliber weapon were fired into the home while two men were inside.

Witnesses said a dirty and damaged red Honda Civic was seen fleeing from the area shortly after the gun shots.

One of the occupants indicated that Barlow may have been a possible suspect due to an altercation the previous night.

Officers located a vehicle matching the one witnesses saw and identified Barlow as the driver.

Barlow then allegedly admitted to shooting rounds from a Glock .45 into the trailer and the gun was in the car.

The owner of the trailer requested restitution to pay for the damage caused by the gunshots to the trailer and a mattress located inside.
