Roundabout snares semi-truck

A stalled semi-truck in a roundabout backed traffic up and the driver said other commuters were getting a little aggressive, according to Kalispell Police call logs. After about 20 minutes, the driver got the truck back on the way.

A man who called to report stolen merchandise wasn’t happy with the advice he received and hung up. The man said his ex-girlfriend took his guns and $14,000 in cash from his residence when she left him.

A woman believed her former brother-in-law got credit cards in her and her ex-husband’s names. She had questions about how to file a report.

An old, but friendly, yellow lab with a slight limp was taken to the county animal shelter.

A German shepherd named Fabio allegedly bit his owner, according to a state Health Department employee who called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The dog appeared to be healthy and has a current rabies vaccination. Fabio will be quarantined for 10 days.

Two people called to report motorcycles speeding near children in a neighborhood. Requests were made for extra patrols in the area.

A person called to report a very scared chihuahua running along U.S. 93 before it headed into the woods. The person couldn’t get to it.

A canine’s efforts to get a neighbor’s chickens apparently met some success for the animal, according to a caller. Another neighbor found a dead chicken in the yard where the dog lives.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report an 18-month-old locked inside a car. Apparently the child had the keys and eventually unlocked the doors.

A person called to report a woman, who may not have showered or washed her clothes in a while, trying to get others to buy cigarettes for her.

A man claimed his neighbor broke a rake handle over his head. The man believed his neighbor thinks he stole a package from his porch. The person said he didn’t need medical care.

Someone called the Whitefish Police Department to report a three-legged, spotted hunting dog wandering in the Spokane Avenue area.

A person called to report a four-wheeler taking up two handicapped parking spots.
