Stella Rose Holyk, 101, passed May 22, 2018, in Hot Springs.

She was honored by Montana’s lieutenant governor as a centenarian last fall in Kalispell.

She is survived by a brother, Leonard Doyle, of Whitefish; two sisters, Frances Byrnes of Creston, and Patsy Chamberlain (Jack) of Great Falls; two children, Joe Holyk (Marge) of Ohio, and Rose Stoffer (Bill) of Eureka; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Her secret to a long life is “Just live every day and do the best you can,” as she showed us first hand. She was everyone’s “Gram” and will be loved and missed by many.

Vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 28, followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the Sacred Heart Church in Hot Springs. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kalispell.
