Bats just hanging around

Someone called to report a bat hanging out on her porch the last few days. It wasn’t acting aggressive, but wanted advice on what to do.

A person called the Kalispell Police Department to report a Australian shepherd on the loose after she went into the room to clean it. The dog was growling at people when they approached it. It was last seen headed toward a thrift store.

A woman called concerned about a group of baby ducks that were trying to cross the road. She hoped traffic could be stopped so they could safely cross.

A man said he was nearly hit by a man on a bicycle. The man on the bike allegedly made threats to the person.

Someone called to report a group of teenagers fighting in a parking lot. One was cited and released.

A person called to report someone rang the door bell, but there was no one there. An officer checked the area and found nothing unusual.

Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a woman had thrown some paper plates out of her car while she was driving on U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse.

A woman called to report that her husband thought he may have had too much to drink and needed an ambulance. He later changed his mind and said he was OK.

An older German shepherd cross has been quarantined at the county animal shelter after someone called to report it “nipped” her daughter in the face before she arrived. When an officer arrived, the dog was underneath the person’s deck.
