Pray for guidance and vote pro-life
Recently a Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashogg, who was self-exiled from his home country for fear of reprisal against him for his very vocal support of increased rights for Saudi women (such as the right to drive an automobile, vote, etc.), was assassinated in the Saudi Consulate in Turkey. All indications are that this slaughter was carried out with the knowledge of and probably at the direction of the Saudi rulers.
This situation causes great consternation in our nation’s capital as our representatives try to decide how to punish this horrible act. As a nation which supposedly prides itself on championing human rights, we should do something, or should we? The bigger question is, does our nation have a moral right to lecture and/or punish other nations for human rights violations that are no worse than the standard which we hold ourselves to?
In 1973, in a case known as “Roe v Wade”, the US Supreme Court voted to make it legal for mothers to murder their yet unborn children, for any reason they wish. Since that time, with the very efficient help of an organization known as “Planned Parenthood” which receives considerable financial support through government grants (our tax money which makes all tax paying citizens accomplices in these murders) over 1 million young lives have been taken each year. The total body count is now somewhere between 48 and 61 million depending on whose numbers you use. To put this in perspective there were between 6 and 7 million Jews slaughtered during Adolph Hitler’s attempt to annihilate the Jews so we are fast approaching ten times the death toll of the Jewish Holocaust, may God forgive us.
Until we stop this madness, I say we have forfeited our right to lecture and impose penalties on others for their human rights violations and when we attempt to do so we are hypocrites!
Unfortunately, for the unborn there is no relief in sight. If you were watching the recent disgusting and disgraceful confirmation hearings for Justice Kavanaugh you know that Roe v Wade was the major issue for the left. In the current mid-term election cycle you should also know that protection of women’s right to choose to kill the unborn is a plank very high in the democratic platform.
Our best weapons against this demonic plague that we suffer under are God and the ballot box, so please pray for God’s help, guidance and forgiveness and vote for pro-life candidates.
