Whitefish takes second at Kalispell tourney
The Whitefish Speech and Debate Team placed second in the Kalispell Kickoff tournament.
“I knew we had some individually strong competitors this weekend with real chances to compete well, but with our very small team of 12, I did not expect placing in sweepstakes to be a possibility,” Whitefish Head Coach Sara Mueller said. “However, with several finalists and individual champion, Sophomore Bethany Barnes in Informative Speaking, as well as all debaters finishing in scoring position, we placed second in the ABC bracket. This was a solid momentum-building performance. I can’t wait to see our team full-strength at Columbia Falls in two weeks.”
