Alleged trespasser steals beer

A caller told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that a man had been coming to his property in the Star Meadows area and stealing firewood and beer. He didn’t want to file charges, but he did want an officer to tell the man to stay off his land. When an officer spoke with the man he screamed for a bit before things settled down.

A man reported his canoe had been stolen from a Deer Trail residence in Whitefish.

A deer was hit by two different vehicles in the Lakeside area, but the driver of one of them needed his vehicle towed from the scene.

A bartender said a man inside the establishment had just had surgery and had fallen in the parking lot. He seemed very out it, but the bartender had give him coffee for a number of hours. He said he wanted to drive home, but the bartender tried hard to keep him from getting in his car. The man was later cleared by a medical professional.

A caller said if the neighbors’ dogs continued to enter his pasture he would shoot them.

A man said when he kept his intoxicated wife from driving away, she “exploded” on him. She then ran away and he was concerned that she wasn’t dressed for the weather and she hadn’t answered her phone. An officer did locate the woman and she said that her husband’s comments weren’t true.

A woman called about someone playing loud music all night long. She was told to tell the landlord if it continued. When an officer arrived, there was no indication of loud music.

Someone stole tires from a man’s property, but later returned them and left a note explaining the reason for the theft.
