Dorothy L. Aemisegger, 83

| October 2, 2018 2:00 AM

Dorothy L. Aemisegger, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018.

She was born to Isaac and Martha Branscome, May 31, 1935, on her

grandmother’s homestead in Eureka. Dorothy’s siblings were Harbert, David, Berdett, Joan, Adeline, Sharon, Jimmy and Shirley.

On May 18, 1954, she married Howard Aemisegger of Fortine. Dorothy loved her family. They were blessed with four children, Marsha, David, Jo Ann and Penny who preceded her in death. She

enjoyed cooking and all kinds of crafts. She even made both of her daughter’s wedding gowns.

Dorothy loved the Lord. She served many churches across the country with her husband Howard by her side with the Laborers For Christ. She cooked for more people then you can count. This is one of the many ways she showed her love to her family and friends. She was an amazing cook and seamstress, a true blessing.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Howard, of 64 years; children, Marsha Schafer and Mike, David Aemisegger and Marcia, and Jo Ann Brock; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;

sister, Sharon Marthy; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Georgia Branscome; also many nephews, nieces and friends.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love that Dorothy received through Home Options Hospice, her wonderful friends that helped her, and her family through this terrible battle cancer. The family was blessed by all the prayers from friends and family as they felt an amazing peace and love through the whole passing of such an amazing mother and wife.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Eureka. Pastor Tabbert will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to Home Options Hospice in her name.

Schnackenberg Funeral Home is caring for Dorothy and her family. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
