WEST GLACIER, Mont. (AP) — An early season snowstorm is forcing the closure of several roads on the border of Glacier National Park and the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning until Wednesday at noon from Logan and Marias passes east to Browning and Heart Butte.
The weather service forecasts the storm will dump 18 inches (46 centimeters) of snow or more on Logan Pass, and 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 centimeters) at lower elevations.
The National Park Service says Two Medicine Road on the park's eastern border has been closed, as has the Going to the Sun Road and Many Glacier Road on the east side.
Portions of Cut Bank Road and Chief Mountain Road are also closed due to the weather.
