Cross Country Perrin tops field at Helena 7 on 7
HELENA — Flathead standout Ben Perrin continues to add titles to his stellar season. He was the top runner on Thursday at the Helena 7 on 7 cross country meet.
Perrin posted an impressive time of 15 minutes, 43.7 seconds to win Race 1, which featured No. 1 runners from all participating schools.
Perrin’s margin of victory was eight seconds.
Simon Hill of Glacier was sixth, 16:38.0.
Glacier’s Aren Alexander-Battee won Race 2 with a time of 16:18.9.
Bozeman runners placed first in Race 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 en route to the team title with a score of 11. Missoula Sentinel and Missoula Hellgate were next with 35 each.
Glacier, 38, was fourth.
Bozeman also claimed the girls title with an 11 score. Bozeman had runners place first in Race 2, 5 and 6. Bozeman runners were second in the other four races.
Missoula Hellgate,12, was second, Helena High, 44, third, Sheridan, 46, fourth and Flathead, 51, fifth.
Tiahna Vladic of Billings Senior easily won Race 1 with a time of 17:35.1. She finished 40 seconds ahead of the field.
Polson’s Beatrix Frissell was fifth, 19:12.2, and Flathead’s Tori Noland-Gillespie eighth, 19:27.9 in Race 1.
