Football C-Falls crushes Ronan
COLUMBIA FALLS — Colten McPhee rushed for 258 yards and four touchdowns and Drew Morgan passed for 153 yards and three scores as third-ranked Columbia Falls (5-1 overall, 3-0 league) romped by Ronan 64-7 on Friday night in Northwest A Conference football action.
McPhee had scoring runs of 32, 5, 45 and 85 yards.
He averaged 25.8 yards per carry.
Morgan was 6 of 8 passing for 153 yards. He also rushed 5 times for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Lane Sapa had two touchdown receptions — 38 and 34 yards — and Parker Greene one — 25.
Brad Nieves returned an interception 21 yards for another Columbia Falls score.
Columbia Falls, which had 469 yards of total offense to 95 for Ronan, led 36-0 after the opening quarter.
Columbia Falls plays at Whitefish on Friday while Ronan entertains Libby.

Whitefish 38, Polson 0
POLSON — Carver Gilman had two touchdown receptions, was 5 for 5 on PAT kicks and also booted a 46-yard field goal as Whitefish pounded Polson in Northwest A Conference play.
Gilman’s scoring catchers from Mark Anderson were 13 and 54 yards. He finished with five receptions for 102 yards.
Anderson was 17 of 30 passing for 211 yards. He also had 13 carries for 54 yards and two scores — 20 and 3 yards.
Devin Beale, 6 carries for 83 yards, had a 38-yard scoring run.
Jack Isenbarth led the WHS ground game with 107 yards on 16 carries.
It was the fifth-straight win for Whitefish (5-2, 3-0) and the team’s first shutout of the fall campaign. The Bulldogs held Polson to -38 yards rushing.
Whitefish had 470 yards of total offense to 71 yards for Polson (0-7, 0-3).
Whitefish hosts Columbia Falls on Friday while Polson travels to Browning.

LIBBY — Libby rolled to an easy Northwest A Conference victory over Browning.

Libby has won two straight in league play.
Libby (3-4, 2-1) plays at Ronan on Friday while Browning (1-6, 0-3) hosts Polson.
Bigfork 21, Townsend 14
TOWNSEND — Randy Stultz rushed for two touchdowns and Anders Epperly passed 48 yards to Luke Schmit for another score as top-ranked Bigfork (6-0) held on to edge Townsend (3-3) in Class B nonconference play.
Bigfork trailed 7-0, but led 14-7 at the half.
Stultz had TD runs of 1 and 24 yards. He finished with 89 yards on 18 carries.
Epperly was 16 of 25 passing for 215 yards and one score.
Schmit had a big night with 10 receptions for 148 yards and the TD.
Stultz had three catches for 35 yards.
Bigfork had 385 yards of total offense to 259 for Townsend.
Bigfork hosts Missoula Loyola on Friday in Western B action.

Eureka 29, Florence 27
EUREKA — Read Guckenburg, who missed on three extra point attempts, nailed a 32-yard field goal with 32 seconds remaining to rally eighth-ranked Eureka to a Western B victory over No. 7 Florence-Carlton.
Florence-Carlton (5-2, 2-2) scored with 1:55 remaining on a 25-yard pass from Colby Kohlman to Trevyn Wood. The PAT kick was no good, leaving Florence-Carlton on top 27-26.
Jake Kindel had touchdown runs of 4, 4 and 1 yard for Eureka (5-2, 3-2). Hank Dunn passed to AJ Pacella for 12 yards and touchdown for the other TD.
Florence-Carlton outgained Eureka 417-359.
Dunn was 9 of 21 passing for 117 yards and rushed 18 times for 102 yards.
Kindel had 56 rushing yards on 18 carries and Terrell Helgert had 14 carries for 83 yards.
Eureka hosts Deer Lodge on Friday.
