St. George’s 6, Stillwater 1
SPOKANE, Wash. — A hat trick (three goals) by Lydia Bergquist was more than enough offense for St. George’s to claim the nonconference win over Stillwater Christian School.
St. George’s held a commanding 5-0 lead at the half. Aleeya Derlatka scored for Stillwater (6-5-1) in the 47th minute.
“It was a very physical match today,” Stillwater coach JR Hemp said.
“Despite the score it was one of our better matches this year. St George’s is a well- coached team with technically gifted players. We had problems in the first half with our midfield play. Second half we did better and our shape was better.”
Stillwater plays at Mission Valley Christian Academy on Tuesday.
